His buddy, Naz Reid, also played really well. He scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. That’s like catching the ball 12 times after someone misses a shot. Rudy Gobert also helped a lot by scoring 17 points and getting 12 rebounds just like Reid.
The Timberwolves’ coach, Chris Finch, said his team did some simple basketball stuff really well. They passed the ball to each other and made lots of shots from far away, like throwing paper balls into the trash can from your desk.
Steph Curry, who is super famous for making lots of three-point shots (that’s even further away than free throws!), scored 31 points for the Warriors. But he missed a shot near the end that could have tied the game.
Do you know what happened next? Anthony Edwards made a mistake and airballed a three-pointer, but then he made up for it by scoring some free throws after getting fouled. And he even stopped one of the Warriors, Klay Thompson, from scoring.
The Timberwolves are doing really good this season. They’ve won a lot of games and are close behind the teams with the very best records.
The Warriors had a lead earlier in the game, but when Steph Curry sat down to rest, some of the Timberwolves’ other players did a great job and scored a lot of points.
Anthony Edwards was happy because he got to rest, too, while the others played well. He said everyone was talking and working together, which is awesome!
It was an important game because the Warriors only come to play in Minnesota once this year. The last time these two teams played, it got a little too rough and one of the Warriors players, Draymond Green, got kicked out for being too aggressive.
The Warriors weren’t feeling their best because they lost their last game and really needed to win more. But their coach, Steve Kerr, was happy they tried harder this time.
Even though the Timberwolves started slow and made some mistakes, Naz Reid came to the rescue and played really well. It was a special night for him because the fans love him and it was his bobblehead night.
Reid said his team is really good because they all try their best and think the right way. Anyone can be the star on any given day.
